Splint

Night Splint Wearing Instructions and Homecare

Your first night wearing your splint you may not sleep through the night, that’s OK. Take the splint out and try again the next night. It often takes up to a week before you sleep through the night comfortably with a new splint. After a month's time, the splint should be comfortable enough that it’s tough to sleep without it! If you feel you are not adapting to the splint along these guidelines, please call the office as it may need to be adjusted.

Be cautious with pets at home as splints are their favorite chew toy — keep it out of reach of your pets.

Please bring your splint to cleaning appointments so it can be checked and cleaned as needed.
